1. What We Collect
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and a securely hashed password. As you use Arzi, we also store your resume text, profile information such as your education, work experience, skills, and salary expectations, as well as your job search activity including jobs you have saved, applied to, or been interviewed for. We do not collect your Aadhaar number and strongly advise against entering it anywhere on the platform.
2. How We Use Your Data
We use your data solely to provide the Arzi service. This includes autofilling job applications, scoring job matches, generating AI-powered answers to application questions, and displaying your job search activity. We do not use your data for advertising purposes and we do not build profiles to sell to recruiters or employers.
3. AI Processing
Arzi uses AI to power resume analysis and career question answering. When you use these features, your resume text and the specific question or job description are sent to an AI service for processing. We do not include your name, phone number, email address, or other personal identifiers in these requests. The AI service processes only what is necessary to generate a response and its data handling is governed by its own privacy policy.
4. Chrome Extension
The Arzi Chrome extension stores your profile and authentication token locally on your own device using the browser's built-in storage. This data is used only to autofill forms that you explicitly trigger. The extension does not track your browsing history, read pages you have not asked it to analyse, or run in the background beyond what is needed to support autofill.
5. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored in a secure database on our backend server. Passwords are hashed using a strong one-way algorithm and are never stored in plain text. Authentication tokens expire after 30 days. We take reasonable technical measures to protect your data, though no system can guarantee complete security. We recommend using a strong and unique password for your Arzi account.
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties except as required by law. The only external service that receives any portion of your data is the AI provider used for resume analysis and question answering, and only the minimum data necessary for each request is ever sent. Payment processing is handled by Razorpay and we do not store your card details at any point.
7. Cookies and Local Storage
Arzi uses your browser's local storage to retain your authentication token and theme preference between sessions. We do not use third-party tracking cookies, advertising pixels, or analytics SDKs of any kind. We do not integrate with Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any similar tracking services.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to access, update, or delete your data at any time. You can edit your profile and resume directly within the app. To permanently delete your account and all associated data, you can submit a deletion request through the Settings page or contact us at support@arzi.app. We process all deletion requests within 30 days.
9. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account remains active. When your account is deleted, all associated data including your resume, profile, and job history is permanently removed from our servers. Backup systems may retain data for up to 30 additional days before it is fully purged.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes via email or through an in-app notice. Continued use of Arzi after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
